Fight Bladder Cancer is now hiring 2 part-time Grant Coordinators:

Grants Coordinator for Scotland

Grants Coordinator for England, Wales, Northern Ireland
 

Hours: Targeting 7.5 hours per week, flexible scheduling.
Reporting To: Chief Executive of Fight Bladder Cancer
Salary: Annual range of £25,642.50-£29,503.50 pro rata. For 7.5 hours weekly, this equates to £5,128.50-£5,900.70 per year
Benefits: Annual leave of 30 days plus 8 bank holidays on a pro-rata basis (equalling 6 days plus 1.6 bank holidays for 7.5 hours/week workers).
Location: Home-based.
Contract: Permanent.

Patient Advocate (Volunteer Role)

As a bladder cancer patient, you have a unique experience of how bladder cancer impacts daily life. Do you wish more people understood bladder cancer? Have you heard about a policy or law that you think is unfair? By becoming a Patient Advocate, you will be able to join a community of ambassadors where you can help Fight Bladder Cancer and improve national and international healthcare activities.

 

Community Champion (Volunteer Role)

Fight Bladder Cancer has a small staff team. We urgently need help from friends and supporters to help spread awareness about bladder cancer, raise funds and increase our reach. Join the team of volunteers as a Community Champion.  

 

Research Volunteers (Volunteer Role)

As a bladder cancer patient, your thoughts and opinions count. Can you join us to help make improvements in the treatment and support of other patients and carers? Find out how to become a Research Volunteer

 

Communications Volunteer (Volunteer Role)

Do you love social media? Are you active on Twitter, LinkedIn, or Facebook? Would you like to help us get the word out about bladder cancer? If so, please find out how to apply to be our Communications Volunteer.

 

Trust and Foundation Fundraising Assistant (Volunteer Role)

We are looking to appoint a volunteer trust fundraiser to work for one or two days a week, supporting our work. The work will include researching background information on suitable trusts, and drafting trust applications. The position offers a lot of flexibility in working hours to fit in with your other activities. You will need very good written skills, the creativity to be able to write engagingly and the intellectual capacity to make convincing requests for support. Being a bladder cancer patient or carer would be ideal but certainly not essential. Please email your CV and a cover letter outlining your interest in the role. 

 

Fundraising Assistant (Volunteer Role)

We are looking to appoint a volunteer trust fundraiser to work for one or two days a week, supporting our work. The work will include helping to manage our donor database. The position offers a lot of flexibility in working hours to fit in with your other activities. Being a bladder cancer patient or carer would be ideal but certainly not essential. Please email your CV and a cover letter outlining your interest in the role. 

 

Charity Project Management Assistant (Volunteer Role)

Examples of our projects include setting up support groups, improving our databases, and running awareness campaigns. You will be able to gain first-hand experience of what it’s like to make a significant contribution to a charity. We are looking for someone with some experience in project management in an organisation and a serious interest in working within the charity sector. Please email your CV and a cover letter outlining your interest in the role.
