Do a Wee Walk / Wee Run
Have you thought about taking a Wee Walk or even a Wee Run for bladder cancer?
.
Organise a Wee Walk
As you may know, walking for bladder cancer is a global concept. People affected by the disease, whether they are patients, carers, family or friends, medical professionals or researchers, are all walking in solidarity across the world, to raise awareness and much needed funds to help fight this disease.
A Wee Walk doesn’t need to be ambitious, a challenge, or present obstacles (unless you choose to do it that way). Rather it can be a slow, short amble, an opportunity to share stories, build friendship and just take in the countryside.
If you’d like to fundraise for Fight Bladder Cancer with your Wee Walk all you need to do is set up your page if you are asking people to sponsor you or make a donation.
Alternatively, you may like to simply take a Wee Walk and make a donation to our special Wee Walk page.
Traditionally friends of the charity have considered a gift of £25 to be an appropriate amount per walker. We are incredibly grateful for gifts of any size. It all makes an enormous difference to the support we can offer to the many affected by bladder cancer. Thank you.
You can buy your Fight Bladder Cancer t-shirt from our online shop.
Go for a Wee Run
If you are feeling more energetic, why not upgrade your walk to a run?
Run your own distance to raise funds and awareness for bladder cancer. Decide on your own distance goal, and a timeframe of your choice. You could find a friend or family member to take up the challenge with you. Here are some ideas from the FBC team to help you:
- 5k or 10k – run your chosen distance in your own time, and when and where you choose. At home or somewhere new?
- Half or Whole – What sort of marathon do you choose? Whether it’s 13.1miles or 26.2miles in one go, or spread across a week – you choose.
- Shortie – do you feel more like little and often? Maybe run one mile every day for a month
- Biggie – how an ultra marathon? Not for the faint hearted of course, but are you up for a test and something to seriously boost about?
You can buy your running t-shirt or vest from our online shop.
Set up an online fundraising page
Whatever your challenge, set up an online fundraising page through Enthuse, our preferred fundraising platform.
It’s really easy to do but please do contact us if you need any assistance.
